Joe & Marc started out as a "recording only" act under the name Monkberry Momma. The duo have been recording demos at Joes yard since 2000 mixing an array of exotic instruments (Sitar, Balalaika, Zither, Harp) with psychedelic effects & layered vocal harmonies. The demos started to attract attention when local independent shops got hold of them. Early in 2005 Pete, Gluey & Liam were recruited to form a live band & take some of the many demos out on the road under a new name Honeythieves. Since then the band have been on the telly, the radio & played some top venues up & down the country. The Junipers now own their own studio in Leicester City Centre were they record all of their material.
